Egypt: President El-Sisi Meets Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Ports

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, Mohamed Al Shamisi. The meeting was attended byUAE Ambassador to EgyptMariam Al Kaabi and Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said the meeting touched on prospects for joint cooperation with AD Ports Group, especially in the sectors of developing logistical areas and ports.

Mr.Shamisisaid the Group looked forward to enhancing cooperation with Egypt, in light of the distinguished brotherly relations between the two countries and peoples, as well as the unique factors that Egypt enjoys and make it a regional and global logistical hub. He noted the rapid and steady progress that the country has witnessed in the past years, especially in terms of expanding and modernizing its infrastructure to become world-class in various sectors, and thus creating a huge leap in Egypt's ability to receive investments and support regional and international trade.

President El-Sisi affirmed that Egypt holds in high esteem the strong and distinguished relations it shares with the UAE under the leadership of the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The President also stressed keenness to continue the fruitful and constructive cooperation in various fields to achieve the interests of the Egyptian and Emirati peoples.

The meeting was also attended by Head of International Sector, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Ahmad Al Mutawa.From the Egyptian side, Chairman for the General Authority of Suez Canal Economic Zone Waleed Samy, Director General of the National Service Projects Organization of the Armed Forces Major General Walid Abul Magd and Assistant to the Director General of the National Service Projects Organization for Transportation and Logistics Major General Hisham El-Guindy.
