Statement by Foreign Press Secretary Norio Maruyama Regarding the Situation in Zimbabwe

The Government of Japan is closely monitoring the situation in Harare, the capital of the Republic of Zimbabwe.

The Government of Japan hopes that the situation will be resolved in a peaceful manner, without escalating violence.
